Poppies On Placemats by jenartimaging

The poppy is a most impressive flower. It primarily reminds us of the many soldiers who sadly lost their lives in wars over the years. To others, perhaps including myself, it is also a flower which graces some of our roadsides and fields, and brings a little colour to our lives.

For this shot I wanted a poppy in full bloom and one bursting. This one was taken with a Nikon 60mm micro lens. One of the darker greens of the foliage was used for the border of the larger placemat.
