Ballantrae is one of the southern most villages in Ayrshire, Scotland. It sits on the west coast and has a small harbour.

The harbour used to be a calling point for the Stranraer to Glasgow steamer, but nowadays it is only used by small fishing vessels and leisure craft.

This shot was taken on a beautiful sunny day, but when the wind blows in off the atlantic ocean it can change dramatically.
