Hunstanton Cliffs When the Tide Was Out
Catalogue Number: PN009
Henry Le Strange and later, his son Hamon were responsible for the establishment of Hunstanton in Norfolk as a Victorian seaside resort in the latter half of the eighteenth century.
The original hotel with the town green sloping down to the sea still exists today. The cliffs between Hunstanton and the village of Old Hunstanton are renowned for their diverse colourings.
This particular photograph of the Cliffs at Hunstanton was taken one morning when the tide was out and the rocks and rock pools exposed.
