Hunstanton Sunset
Catalogue Number: PN012
Originally a fishing village, Old Hunstanton history is said to go back to AD 855 when St. Edmund was shipwrecked there. The ruins of the chapel are said to have been built by St. Edmund as thanks for his survival, and stand on the cliff top close to the 19th century white lighthouse.
This scene could have been anywhere, but it was actually taken at Old Hunstanton on a summer evening. What a perfect way to end the day. Bring on the wine!
