Flamingoes Lake Nakuru Kenya Captured in natural light
Catalogue Number: PW003
Lake Nakuru is a shallow soda lake in the eastern rift valley in Kenya Africa. It is famous for its vast flock of greater and lesser flamingo. When I say vast, I mean millions - so many that when seen from above at baboon cliff, the lake is tinged pink. There are also pelican and many other species there.
I went down to the water’s edge to take this shot, and used a Nikon 80-400mm VR lens. Once again I was in trouble with my wife for laying in bird droppings on the shore!
